A sunshine-filled, shadowy pic from today’s Me Made.
Another Barcelona, this one NOT a big as yesterday. It’s two years old and a keeper (needs a smidge taken in)—my mended tote I love. Perhaps I should have straightened my shirt, but when I got a pic, I took it. It’s a comfortable look. Look close, you’ll see my leopard shoes, and my hat is a 20 dollar buy from a corner vendor in Chelsea.
Here, I was on a walk between my second and third appointment of the day. Today was a day that did NOT make me want to throat punch my doctors. Also, to cause of my abdominal pain has been diagnosed as the most probable cause. So, that’s going to be fixed soon. Oh, yeah, kicking my IUD to the curb (for now). Chacha. It shouldn’t have taken a couple of years to be heard on that one.
Today’s Lupus note isn’t on lupus as much as advocacy. Unfortunately, most days—and most times—I’m my support system. I have one friend who knows more than the rest and one that knew a lot, but she’s removed herself from my life—and I long learned to not rely on others. That being said, patients shouldn’t have to lose their cookies, beg, plead, and cry to be heard. Sexism and the abysmal American healthcare system are at fault. But, when you find a good doctor, keep the mo-fo like a woman keeps her “good bra.”
